Presentation Details

Cisco Inbox: The Evolution of Email

In a recent study, over 90% of respondents identified email as their preferred method of collaboration. Employees prefer email because they’re familiar with it. IT managers trust email because they can establish controls as to what content can or cannot be shared outside of the organization. Next-generation SaaS email is a means for IT to successfully introduce social media applications—both internal (enterprise social software, portals, etc.) and external (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) into the organization through the familiar email inbox paradigm. SaaS email can be easily adapted to serve as a single inbox hub to manage all of an employee’s communications, including the aggregation of IT-approved social software. Security and controls currently in place for email, such as archiving and DLP, can be applied to the broad set of collaboration tools. In this presentation, we’ll share a vision for the future of email, the Cisco Inbox, with next-generation web-based email services offering a new way for employees to communicate and collaborate within the enterprise and externally.

Cisco Quad: Powering The Next Generation Workforce Experience

Experience Enterprise Social Software (ESS) will have an unprecedented impact on the way people find expertise, share information, interact, and get work done. But, on their own, ESS applications won't drive the kind of growth, innovation, or productivity that organizations are looking for. Rather, social capabilities need to integrate deeply with existing communications, content management, and business systems, plus, they need to meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, and availability. Cisco Quad, Cisco Show and Share and Cisco Flip minoPRO HD products were built with this in mind to deliver a true end-to-end Enterprise Collaboration experience. Join us to learn more about how these Enterprise Social Software solutions can power your next generation workforce experience.

Customer Collaboration: How Social Media Changes Customer Care

While contact centers have adapted over the last 10 years to incorporate new media channels such as email and chat, a new wave of changes is coming to customer care. The explosive growth of social networking is making its way into the realm of customer care. IT professionals responsible for contact center technology must understand the key trends around social media as a new mode of interaction with customers, because it raises the stakes of successes as well as failures. In this session, you will learn how social media is being used today for delivering customer care, and you'll leave with an understanding of what you can do today to prepare for the arrival of social media as part of Customer Collaboration.

Speakers: Ross Daniels, Director, Market Management and Tod Famous, Manager, Product Management

Collaboration in the Cloud: Re-Thinking The Cloud

Collaboration inherently involves two or more people working in teams to accomplish a goal. And because the teams can be formed from anywhere in the organization or across the organization, cloud based collaboration solutions offer many advantages. These cloud applications, however, are even more powerful when it’s extended into the enterprise network. Therefore, the discussion is no longer about the cloud or the enterprise network, but how the two can be combined to offer the best user experience and IT manageability. In this session, you’ll learn the benefits of cloud based services that are extended into the enterprise network, solutions that are offered by Cisco including Enterprise IM, Email and Conferencing, and best practices in user adoption by employees, customers andpartners.

Speakers: Alex Hadden-Boyd, Director, Product Marketing, Arnie Lopez, Director Operations

Media Experience and Analytics: Connecting People and Information

Media Experience and Analytics powers breakthrough experiences by connecting people and media across any device and application. As enterprises grow and become more geographically distributed, the need to effectively communicate across all boundaries – geography, organizational, or format (e.g., video, documents, and people) – is increasingly important.

MXA delivers the benefits of embedding the intelligence for unfettered collaboration into the fabric of the network. Information in any form or format – person, video, documents – is discovered in real time and seamlessly shared across the enterprise. Communication and business video are unleashed with such capabilities as interoperability, live broadcast, streaming, delayed broadcast, speech to text and video tagging.

During this session, we will highlight how Cisco and oil giant, Baker Hughes, use Expertise Location to drive productivity and differentiation within their respective sales and service organizations.

Speaker: Tony Frazier, Director, Product Management

Video Collaboration: Revolutionizing Business Process and Communications

In a recent study, organizations noted a 30% increase in productivity and a 35% increase in collaboration after the deployment of video. Video is becoming ubiquitous, thus eliminating adoption barriers. Through the deployment of video collaboration tools, organizations are able to gain a competitive advantage by bridging the communication gap between employees, customers and partners. In this session we will highlight the newest video collaboration solutions that can help you bridge globally dispersed organizations, personalize communications and speed decision making. Learn how other organizations across the globe are deploying video to revolutionize their business process and communications.

Speakers: Paul Fulton, General Manager and Michelle Carlson, Manager, Solutions Marketing
